On March 21st we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), an important occasion to promote awareness and inclusivity in all aspects of society regarding people with this condition. On this day, we are reminded of the importance of accepting, valuing and supporting everyone, whilst acknowledging both their strengths and weaknesses.
At Casa Mission we join this celebration by promoting an environment filled with respect, inclusivity and love towards people with down syndrome. We would also like to highlight our “Blue Hour”, a space dedicated to offering support and tools to those who belong to this community. In said Blue Hour, which is conducted every day from 8:00 - 9:00 am, we invite you to breakfast with us in an environment where both light and noise are controlled, alongside a menu specially designed for people with this condition, with the intent of enhancing your experience at Casa Mission.
It is important to remember that diversity enriches us as a society, and that every person, despite their different abilities, deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. On this WDSD, we pledge our commitment to inclusivity and the support of everyone; celebrating the beauty that is diversity and working together for a world that is more inclusive and equal.
